Born in Cardiff, Chris has studied the violin from the age of 7 and played in county school orchestras from a young age. In 2002 he joined the Cardiff County and Vale of Glamorgan Youth Orchestra with whom he has played a variety of music from the symphonic repertoire ranging from Mozart to Mahler. In 2005, he embarked on an English degree at the University of Exeter. He is currently a commended Music Scholar studying violin and viola. He has led the Scholar's Orchestra in concert and is a founding member of the University Knightley Quartet.
Chris began singing when at high school taking solo parts in classical pieces and leading roles in musicals. He joined the University Singers in his second year at Exeter and since then has enjoyed performing music of various styles including Handel and Beethoven. He also sings with a close harmony male a cappella group called “The Perfect Fourth”.
