Malcolm Sentance began to learn the viola at the age of 8, attending Youth Orchestra at Bexley Music School every saturday morning. This included concerts in Germany and Holland as well as at the Festival Hall. Later in life, while studying Philosophy at Sussex University, Malcolm joined the Sussex University Philharmonia, the 20th Century Ensemble, the Sussex Symphony Orchestra and the chamber orchestra the Musicians of All Saints, based in Lewes.

Since moving to London in 2006, Malcolm now plays first desk with the Dulwich Symphony Orchestra and has led the violas with the Blackheath Halls Orchestra. Recently, he has been invited to play for the warm-up orchestra for the upcoming BBC TV series 'Maestro'.

Having thoroughly enjoyed playing in the pit-orchestra for a production of Carmen for the Meantime Opera in 2007, he is pleased to have the opportunity to play qith Situation Opera.
