Robert Jeffery was born and raised in South London, and began learning to play the piano and sing from an early age. During his time at secondary school he was involved in stage managing, and constructing scenery for the Shock Tactics Theatre Company, productions including, Dick Whittington, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Treasure Island and Toad of Toad Hall.

Since completing his A levels, Robert has gone on to study for a BEng in Mechancial Engineering at Exeter University. Whilst at University Robert has been awarded a University music scholarship in both performance and Sound Engineering. During his time at university, he has seen his managerial skills stretched as he has organised several large scale concerts including two candlelight performances of Mozart's Requiem - no mean feat with 40 singers and orchestra!

Robert hopes that Situation Opera will flourish with the first performance of Cosi fan tutti, and is looking foward to working with such talented musicians. He also hopes that the opera company will continue for years to come giving valuable experience to all potential opera singers of the future.
